Who pays for this blog? I receive no fees, considerations, etc. etc. for the posts on this blog nor do I have any plans to accept any. My salary is paid by Canwest Global Communications Corp. I work for that company as the Ottawa-based National Affairs Correspondent for Canwest News Service. Canada puts new tax on MP3 players

It's not a lot of money, but today, the Copyright Board
of Canada agreed to allow new fees to be collected for some digital storage
media. Canadian consumers will start to pay a new fee whenver they buy
an MP3 player or a hard disk drive.
