Who pays for this blog? I receive no fees, considerations, etc. etc. for the posts on this blog nor do I have any plans to accept any. My salary is paid by Canwest Global Communications Corp. I work for that company as the Ottawa-based National Affairs Correspondent for Canwest News Service. Mac users: A fabulous little utility

Users of Apple's OS X.x operating will want to grab Search Google, a terrifically handly little freeware
utility. Search Google adds a new 'Service' called, erm, "Search Google" and

Finally!! Airport Extreme and my LinkSys router are talking!

I run a Wi-fi network at the home office. The network is served by a Linksys wireless router that runs on the 802.11b standard. Apple's Airport card also runs 802.11 and when using an iBook with the LinkSys router, everything worked fine. But then I got the new PowerBook 17" ... more »
