Who pays for this blog?
I receive no fees, considerations, etc. etc. for the posts on this blog nor do I have any plans to accept any. My salary is paid by Canwest Global Communications Corp. I work for that company as the Ottawa-based National Affairs Correspondent for Canwest News Service.

Teenagers say the Internet is a great place to hang out

Canadian teenagers say that they spend most of their time online socializing -- chatting, trading e-mail, and generally goofing around, says pollster Ipsos-Reid.

Ontario commits major privacy gaffe

The Ontario government appears to have made a major privacy gaffe, mailing out thousands of cheques this week that included wrong names and social insurance numbers.
Government officials said yesterday that as many as 27,000 cheques were sent out with incorrect confidential information.
