This is a the Smart car from Mercedes-Benz, shot at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. (This vehicle, interestingly, had Ontario plates on it). If you ever get the chance to check it out, you'd be surprised at how much room there is in the cab. As one wag at the show said, it's not so much that it's a small car, it's just that it's short. The Smart car folks were also showing off a Roadster version (you can see it here just behind the couple (?) version) and some other variations on this platform.
In Toronto, Mercedes-Benz quickly sold out of their allotment of these vehicles.
